What’s your favourite kind of bag?

I could never understand how some guys out there can stuff all their belongings in their pockets when they are out. Granted it leaves you feeling much more unconstricted, but they just weigh your pants down so much and make every step you take that much more heavy. Call me a hoarder but I think four pockets are not enough to fit my wallet, my portable charger, AirPods, handphone, mints, house keys, earpiece, a snack in case I get hungry … well you get the picture.

I think it comes as no surprise that I am a proponent for bags. But don’t just dismiss these functional packages as huge spaces which you stress over filling the empty spaces. With so many types of bags around, there certainly will be something available for everyone depending on the size you need and style aesthetics. Think of the list below as starter Pokémon for the uninitiated.

1. Backpacks

No one should be a stranger to this versatile piece of carrier. The backpack is a classic bag that fits well in every men’s wardrobe. It is great when you need to carry multiple things around, and even greater when you want to keep your hand free. Opt for a neutral coloured backpack for a safe choice that will be sure to complement any coloured outfit you have, or turn the drama up a few notches and go for a statement backpack that bound to turn heads with adding a new life and freshness to your everyday look.

2. Messenger bags

Far from making you look like a postman, messenger bags are an easy way to transport your belongings when you just don’t feel like using something bulky and huge. They are also surprisingly versatile. Depending on the material, they can be used for a variety of occasions. Leather messenger bags adds a hint of luxury and classiness, making it perfect for carrying work documents. Think of it as a mini messenger bag — more portable and just as big in swag and style
