Led by Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana and Erdem, the flowers of the moment are set on a black canvas for a dark, mysterious allure. While we don’t enjoy distinguished seasonal changes as our counterparts in Europe or the U.S. do, we still love to embrace the moodier palette and styles for the idea of ‘Winter’.
By taking the floral print out of the traditional ‘pretty’ and ‘occasion-only’ box and putting it into one with a little more attitude, you change the idea of a floral print all together. Taking cues from the likes of Isabel Marant and wearing them with leather or over lace will instantly breathe new life into your floral print. An avant-garde take on 3-D florals or an ornamental pattern of leaves with big proportions will make the blooms fresh again.
