Zeroing in on a signature perfume or cologne can be a real struggle. As it takes plenty of research and experimentation to find a scent that is the very extension of your heart and soul, the task may seem quite overwhelming to some. If you’re a noob when it comes to fragrance, you’re in luck! We’ve come up with a handy guide to finding your ideal fragrance, all according to your character and personality.
1. Groundbreaking Florals:
Floral fragrances are a favourite amongst perfumers, and for good reason too! Flowers such as roses, lavenders, carnations, and lilies are naturally fragrant, and a mixture of these scents make for feminine and romantic creations. Floral scents are best paired with flowing silhouettes and intricate designs.
2. Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy
Holla all sports lovers! Citrus-based scents are what you should be wearing if you’re energetic and fabulous. Light and uplifting, fruity scents are distinctively tangy, zesty and will not overpower your persona.
3. The Hills Have Eyes:
Are you the sort of person who relishes the scent of fresh mud after the rains, or yearn to be one with mother nature? Earthy and musky, aromatic scents such as sandalwood and oak are what you need. Whether you’re a manly man or a timid little mouse, a woody scent can lend a sense of toughness to your aura.
4. Fine Like China Wine:
Amber, vanilla, cinnamon and clover are common ingredients for any oriental scent. Sensual and glamorous, oriental fragrances are ideal for nighttime occasions. The rich and musky nature of these luxurious scents allow them to last for hours.
5. The Shallows:
If you’re a water baby, would you not like to smell like the ocean? Salty and sandy, these scents are like droplets of the vast blue captured in a tiny bottle. Spicy and masculine, oceanic fragrances will leave you feeling hella fresh!
