Now that it’s increasingly acceptable for men to wear florals, designers have upped the design bar and brought in the next must-have — animal print. Wear this pattern with caution and keep it to one statement piece — with the rest of your outfit in shades of blue, black, grey and neutral.

The Grass Is Always Greener
A nice addition to the traditional male colour palette of neutral and blue, green is a hue you can easily incorporate into any wardrobe without much fuss. With no particular shade to own and designers offering a variety, just choose the shade that works best for you. If in doubt, begin with a faded shade of green and build up the intensity.

Double Pocketing
If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing it twice, right? Double pocketing is the most functional trend of the season and with twice the amount of pockets — whether it be on the side leg of your trousers or on the front of a corduroy shirt — there is plenty of room for storage. Be sure not to over-do this, lest you lose the dapper edge.

Extra Leg-room
Trousers have gotten a little wider and somewhat shorter this season, with designers injecting a ’90s influence into their designs. Think along the lines of wider straight-cut trousers rather than a fit-and-flare ’70s style. Colours should be kept dark and simple, paired with boots if worn with jeans, or loafers if worn with lighter styles like chinos and pants.
