Look the part with ease

From humble beginnings, skater boy style has become a massive trend over the years. The style is no longer secluded to ramps and skateparks — one doesn’t even need to own a skateboard! Here’s our guide to help you achieve that laid-back skater look:
Skate Trousers
Wide leg trousers or cargo shorts are definitely a must in order to achieve this look. These are not only baggy, comfortable, and easy to move around in, but also have endless pockets to store your stuff in so you can focus on your kickflips (or not). Bonus points if you get them in camouflage or with rips, since this is a streetwear statement.
Wear it with:
Classic high-cut Vans to boast that effortless cool factor.
T-Shirts
Skater boy style is all about loose and baggy shapes. You can go for the basic plain white tee since this will go with anything, or if you’re a fan of graphic prints, feel free to make a statement. Don’t be afraid to layer — it’s an easy way to add color to your outfits and makes you easy to spot when you’re speeding down those ramps or just walking down the streets.
Wear it with:
Kicks from the iconic skateboarding brand Etnies. This eco-friendly pair is partially made out of recycled materials.
Hoodies
One of the best things about skateboarding is that it’s a year-round sport. Although it isn’t smart to skate in the middle of a downpour this rainy season, the cold by itself shouldn’t stop you. Toss on a hoodie and you’re good to go. It’s all about the nonchalant attitude and adding a baggy sweatshirt to the mix will achieve that look.
Wear it with:
These Converse kicks, for a twist on a classic style.
Caps
Last but not least, top off your outfit with a signature cap or beanie to complete the skater boy look.
