Here’s how you get eyebrows that are always on fleek.

One of the most challenging things when putting on makeup is drawing on eyebrows. Your foundation, eye shadow, contour, highlight, and lipstick may be on-point, but if your brows are too thick or uneven, or if the shape is wrong, the overall look is ruined. Of course, the effort that has been deployed to look perfect does not want to be ‘confused’ by the technique of drawing the wrong eyebrows, is not it?

In shaping the eyebrows, there are so many products you can use, such as brow pomade, eyebrow tint, and so on. However, for those who are still newbies in shaping eyebrows, the classic eyebrow pencil can be your best tool.

To make your makeup look natural, here are some tips to get started:

1. Determine Your Brow Shape

To retain the original shape of your brows, first make your nose the axis. Then, mark the main points: the base of the eyebrow near to the side of your nose bridge, the arch after the widest part of your eye, and the tail of the eyebrow that extends from the outer corner of your eyes. If there are still sparse hairs, use tweezers to tidy them up. If you’re still new to this, it’s good to be tidied up in the salon.

2. Create the Outline First

After defining the dots, it’s time to draw on your brows. Make sure not to draw them too thick as we’re aiming for the natural look. Start from the bottom of the eyebrows, and then make a line at the top. Alternatively, you can also start from the middle of the brows to give the impression of a fade that looks more natural.

3. Start Filling Your Brows

Make sure you fill your eyebrows in the right direction. That way, you will create a natural look. Another very important tip is to start filling the eyebrows from the back first, and not fill in the front bit too much or your brows will look too boxy and harsh.

4. Finish With Eyebrow Brush and Concealer

After drawing both eyebrows, do not forget to trim using a special eyebrow comb to make it look more even. It’s okay if it still looks a bit messy — this is where concealer comes into handy. Brush the concealer on the edge of the eyebrows to make eyebrows look neater. Voila! You’re good to go!
